There’s Still Time to Register!

Greetings from the Stewardship Kaleidoscope Planning Team!

If you haven’t yet registered for the annual Stewardship Kaleidoscope Conference, live at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel from Sept. 21-23, we promise you that this is one conference that you won’t want to miss!

But if you don’t want to take our word for it, just listen to what two former conference participants from Third Presbyterian Church, Rochester, N.Y., have to say!

“I’ve attended Stewardship Kaleidoscope with a group from my church every year for four years. I keep repeating because the conference is so valuable! The conference provides an opportunity to talk with people from other congregations — always a good reminder that there are other churches out   there going through the same things we are! The biggest boon for me has been bringing a different complement of church members with me each year; slowly we are building a culture of generosity throughout the whole congregation.”

Rachel Norton, Director of Stewardship, Development and  Communications, Third Presbyterian Church, Rochester, N.Y.

“As the Capital Campaign Manager for Third Presbyterian Church, I found the conference programming to be excellent, helping to provide a greater context to the work that we are doing not only for our Capital Campaign, but also in the work that Third Church does in our community. And although the   conference sessions themselves were informative and helpful, it is the time in between and after sessions that is often the most meaningful. In addition to the six of us from Third who attended the conference, there was a cohort of Presbytery of Genesee Valley folks that gathered together at meal times to reflect on our learnings for the day. And it was the deeply spiritual worships and keynote presentations that remind us of the power or worship in the connectional church of the greater PC(USA).”   -Lea Kone, Capital Campaign Project Manager, Third Presbyterian Church, Rochester, N.Y.

Lea Kone says it best:

“The Stewardship Kaleidoscope Conference was not simply about learning new fundraising techniques and tips, but also about being reminded of the importance of our church and The Church in the world around us, and how to share that story. If you are considering attending, I urge you to take this opportunity to spend a few days with fellow church members and experience the power of the greater church community in action!”
