"...the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9: 6-8

Because Stewardship Kaleidoscope is designed to ignite and cultivate generosity, we are honored to support Global Refuge, a nonprofit organization local to Baltimore, through our 2026 conference offering.

From the very beginning, Global Refuge has been an organization of help. During World War II, the first iteration of Global Refuge (the National Lutheran Council) provided assistance and services for refugees from Germany and Eastern Europe. In the decades since, they’ve been building on that work by expanding their reach and resources for people in search of new beginnings around the world.

There have been many crises that have forced our global neighbors to leave their homes. From help for Hungarians to the crisis in Cuba, conflicts in Uganda, Vietnam, The Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, and more — they’ve been collaborating to provide a safe haven for individuals and families.

Today, their commitment to humanity endures with open arms, open hearts, and open doors. They’re continuing to facilitate new beginnings with economic empowerment, mental health services, and family reunification.

As long as there are people in need of a warm welcome, Global Refuge will be here to help them find firm footing.
